Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Creates end to end solution design of cloud data solutions within the MGB cloud data platform including data ingestion patterns/solutions, curated data models, and business use case driven data products.
· Builds and maintains a deep understanding of the data and analytic landscape at Mass General Brigham including data sources, data and analytic assets and products, analytic tools and software, and master data.
· Provide technical leadership to development teams including guiding, coaching, and mentoring other technical team members
· Develops and revises conceptual, logical, and physical data models that conform to current standards and conventions.
· Applies expertise and best practices to the development and revision of data architecture standards and conventions.
· Develops and revises data dictionary definitions, governance practices, and standards.
· Partners with security architects to ensure compliance with data security and privacy policies and procedures.
· Participates in Architectural strategies on the EDW migration to Cloud platform e.g., integration with Data Lake and other Azure services.
· Interviews business users to obtain requirements for enhancements and/or new analytic assets
· Maps source system data to data warehouse models.
· Assists in the Development of data asset training and documentation.
· Works with teams to integrate data across clinical, administrative, and financial source systems including the management of critical master data.
· Develops and tests extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) processes. Hands-on development experience with ETL/ELT tools, such as DBT or Informatica.
· Follows standards for technology and technical processes.
· Presents technical solutions to stakeholders and end users.
